The LumaDeck Manifesto

Our vision.

Two ideas shape every decision we make — and every one we refuse. They came before the first line of code. We plan to keep them after it.

The audience screen is theirs

Free apps show ads. That's fine — someone has to pay the bills. But when the app is a visual engine for DJs, VJs, bands and live performers, "showing ads" means something very different.

It means the projector behind you — the one your audience is watching — could interrupt your drop with a banner.

It means paying for a ticket and seeing a mid-set pop-up on the main wall.

It means turning a performance into a billboard.

We refused to build that product. So our first rule was simple: ads only ever on your control screen — the laptop in front of you — never on the wall behind you. We built it that way. And then we looked closer, and went one step further: we removed the ads entirely.

Our promise
No ads. Not on their screen, not on yours.

The show never stops

A performer standing in front of an audience has one fear that beats all others: the moment everything goes dark.

Browser crash. WiFi drop. Cloud service down. A forced update the night of the gig. A loading spinner during a drop. All of it, unforgivable mid-set.

We built LumaDeck differently:

Our promise
Whatever happens around you, the visuals keep playing.

How it actually works

Here's how LumaDeck makes money — and how it doesn't:

Why this matters

Performers deserve tools that respect their craft. The show is theirs. The audience is theirs. The screen behind them is theirs.

Almost every free creative tool ends up monetizing the user’s work. Not from malice — taking outside money means growing at any cost. We chose differently:

Our approach
Two brothers built it. No outside investors. No plans to take any.

No one is pushing us to pivot. No one is pushing us to monetize your audience. The only people we answer to are the artists on the other side of the screen.

Try it, keep it, or leave it

LumaDeck is free forever. If Pro makes sense for you — subscribe. If it doesn’t — keep using the free tier as long as you want. We won’t push you. That’s the deal.
